Building Confidence in the Gym – Part 1

Wherever you are in your fitness journey right now, think back to the first time you set foot in a gym. You probably had no clue where to start, where to go, or what to do. You probably thought everyone was watching and judging you. I know I did. Maybe you are 100% confident now, you know what to do and where to go. But for those who aren’t, how do you build up that confidence? I want to make this topic a series because I have a lot of ideas to help you out! One of the things that helped me the most was participating in group fitness classes. It’s kind of the best of both worlds, you learn how to do the exercises properly and you’re not alone! All you have to do is show up, put the work in and the instructor does all the rest. Although I never like to put a price tag on health, group fitness is also a cheaper option than personal training. It’s lively, upbeat and very motivating when the music is going and people around you are working hard! People who sweat together stay together, right?! Who knows, maybe you will make some great friends in the class too and can hold each other accountable.
