Hi! My name is Mandii. I am a Mama, a Director Generals Office Coordinator by day, and an OCR Enthusiast by night....well early mornings.... If you're at AK between 0430-0630, there's a chance I'm around! I’ve been at AK since 2022. I used to be terrified of the gym, panic attacks preparing myself to go, in the parking lot, and even in the building rushing out if I made it in! It was my fear of vulnerability, of being seen, of being seen as weak, of feeling weak! Woo – it was heavy times. Then in June of 2022, I started with an in-person trainer to prepare me for my first OCR, Tough Mudder! I have never looked back since. Although I don't have a personal trainer anymore, I wouldn't be where I am today without starting there. It was one of the best decisions to gain confidence in the gym and learn proper form and equipment. In 2023, I started doing Spartans and fell absolutely in love with how far I was able to push myself on and off the courses. In 2024, I gained my first Trifecta! And, I started taking my recovery into more consideration - cold plunges, saunas, and breathwork, oh my!

My goals are continually evolving, as I am. Moving forward options really are absolutely unlimited; worldwide Spartans and so much more! I am thankful to be a part of the AK Ambassador team and for all who I've met and learned from at the gym. Please don't hesitate to come over and say hi or ask for help! If I can help, I'm happy to. If I can't, I can definitely redirect you to who can! I may have RBF, but I promise I’m friendly! There are so many inspirational people and their words I read daily but this one holds the simplicity and strength that fits my health and wellness journey to date: "Do the best you can until you know better.
